DIY Face Masks

I am a lover of natural beauty, skincare, and healthy recipes. Here are my favorite DIY face masks! Healthy skin is more important than just showing off your pretty face. Your whole body relies on healthy organs, including your skin. The following tips help you maintain beautiful skin.

Honey and Coconut Oil Glowing Face Mask Recipe:

2 tbsp. Coconut Oil (I melted mine)

2 tbsp. Honey

Honey and Coconut Oil Glowing Face Mask Recipe Directions: In a medium-size bowl mix coconut oil and honey until combined. Once combined smear all over face and let sit for 15-20 minutes (the mask will not dry). Once the mask has set over your face using a soft washcloth and warm water to clean mask off the face. Once the face is clean pat dry. No cream is needed after the mask. Your face should look nice and dewy.

Matcha Geen Tea Face Mask:

Ingredients:

1 Tablespoon of Matcha Powder

1 Teaspoon of Raw Honey

2 Teaspoons of Aloe Vera Gel

Directions:

Stir all of the ingredients together and apply to a clean dry face. Let it dry and leave it on 20-40 minutes or a whole hour if you want! Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.

Your skin will be glowing and should be noticeably smoother.

Simple Coffee Mud Mask Recipe

*Ingredients:

2 tsp Cosmetic Grade Clay: We are using French Green Clay, but according to your skin type and using the suggestions above you can substitute with White Kaolin, Bentonite or your favorite clay.1 tsp Coffee Grounds (you can totally recycle recently brewed coffee grounds ;) )1 to 1 1/2 tsp *Apple Cider Vinegar: According to your skin type or sensitivity and following the suggestions above you can dilute or substitute with Rose Water / distilled water2 – 3 drops Tea Tree Oil (optional) or your favorite essential oil.

Instructions:

Use a wooden spoon to mix ingredients. This will prevent the active clay from drawing metals beforehand, thus maintaining its full absorbency. In a small glass or plastic bowl mix dry ingredients until well incorporated. Add apple cider vinegar and essential oil (if using any) and mix until forming a paste. If the paste is too thick you can add a bit more apple cider vinegar until thinning it out to your desired consistency. Using your fingers, spread mask over your face or desired area. Let it sit for 5 – 15 minutes or until the mask hardens (but before it starts to overly dry and crack or flake).  This is crucial: when the mask is damp, your skin is being detoxified and infused with the clay’s minerals, when it starts to harden your blood flow increases as the mask contracts, but once it starts to overly dry you can dehydrate your skin or cause irritation. See why you only need a few minutes a week to work miracles with this mask? Rinse with warm water using slight circular motions. Pat dry with a clean towel and apply moisturizer. Yes! You already applied toner! (apple cider vinegar or rose water are perfect for that)Don’t forget to use your regular sunscreen.
